Home Fix Scotland awarded IIP & IIYP Awards

Home Fix Scotland is proud announce that we have achieved the Investors in Young People (IIYP) Silver and Investor in People (IIP) Silver Awards. These are prestigious awards that recognise organisations that are committed to developing and investing in their people and are a testament to our dedication to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, supported, and motivated to succeed.

Home Fix Scotland recognise that our people are our most valuable asset, and we know that our success depends on their well-being and engagement; and creating a workplace in which they can thrive. The award is recognised as a benchmark of excellence in people management and achieving IIYP and IIP Silver Accreditation shows that we are meeting the highest standards - demonstrating real investment in the development of our teams and the workplace environment.

Liz Taylor, HFS (Home Fix Scotland) Board Chair said, “In today's competitive job market, it is essential to attract and retain the best talent. Achieving these awards shows potential employees that Home Fix Scotland is a great place to work, fully committed to staff development.

It helps us to improve our performance and demonstrate that it’s not just a one-off achievement. Our continuous improvement process helps us to identify and address areas where we can further develop our people management practices. By achieving these two awards, it reinforces our determination to make our workplace even better for all employees”

Richard Turnock, RCH Group Chief Executive said, “This award acknowledges the hard work that everybody across the organisation has put in to make Home Fix Scotland a fantastic place to work. Our investment in training and development has reinforced a working culture where people feel valued and appreciated, and I am very proud of what we have achieved so far.”

Richard added: “We believe that the success of our organisation begins and ends with people, and achieving these awards shows how we value and care for our colleagues and customers. Further, it also illustrates the work we have done to support and look after our people’s health and wellbeing.”

Derek Ferguson, Managing Director of Home Fix Scotland said, “This is the first time that time that HFS have gone through the accreditation process, and we are delighted to have achieved silver first time. The IIP/IIYP working group have been meeting regularly to discuss issues that are important to our people and going forward our young people will now have their own HFS Young Persons Forum and Share Point page, and the remainder of the group will continue as the HFS Staff Forum.

These delegates will be gathering thoughts from all their colleagues for discussion at the forum and will continue to create powerful changes to the way we work. Well done to all staff for their participation in the forums, questionnaires and interviews that were part of the accreditation process.”

Investors in People Practitioner Nicola Dillon praised Home Fix Scotland’s recent achievement. “On behalf of IIP CIC I would like to congratulate Home Fix Scotland on achieving Investors in People accreditation and Investors in Young People accreditation, both at the Silver Level, which is a fantastic achievement for a first-time assessment. HFS are wholeheartedly committed to developing Young People through apprenticeships and through ongoing training and wider opportunities to support all their people to develop the necessary skills and capabilities to progress. It was also a delight to see and hear how fully committed HFS are to improving their business performance and most importantly how they can make work better for their people through acting on feedback from their successful Investors in People and Investors in Young People working groups.”

The awards are a recognition of our commitment to our people and our dedication to creating a great workplace for the future. We are confident that receiving these awards demonstrates our ongoing goal of continuing to improve our performance and achieve our business goals in the future. We are likewise committed to continuous improvement, and we will continue to invest in our people and our workplace culture in the future.

We believe that this is the best way to ensure our long-term success.
